26-11-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “SENYAR” over the Strait of Malacca and adjoining Northeast Indonesia has moved West-Southwestwards and start to cross coastal areas of Indonesia. It is centered at about 305Nautical miles South of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 155 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Penang(Malaysia), 45 Nautical miles East of Kuta Makmur(Indonesia) and  395 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar (India). According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low pressure Area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Southeast Sri Lanka still persists. It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and further intensify into a depression during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay, partly cloudy over the Central Bay and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Northern Shan State, scattered in Southern Shan and Chin States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, Eastern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Launglon (5.51)inches, Yay (4.45)inches, Chaungsone (4.29)inches, Kyeikkhame (3.94)inches, Shan-Ywar-Thit, Thaton and Dawei (3.90)inches each, Kawthaung (3.77)inches, Shwegwun (3.60)inches, Belin (3.15)inches, Hlaingbwe (2.99)inches, Maungdaw (2.80)inches, Mudon (2.72)inches, Mawlamyine (2.56)inches, Ann (2.32)inches and Paing Kyone (2.24)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 6th JULY, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Shan State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Chin and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States, isolated heavy falls in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35- 40)m.p.h. Sea will be  moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8 - 10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama and off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts, (4 - 7) feet in off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States.
