26-11-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “SENYAR” over the Strait of Malacca and adjoining Northeast Indonesia has moved West-Southwestwards and start to cross coastal areas of Indonesia. It is centered at about 305Nautical miles South of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 155 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Penang(Malaysia), 45 Nautical miles East of Kuta Makmur(Indonesia) and  395 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar (India). According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low pressure Area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Southeast Sri Lanka still persists. It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and further intensify into a depression during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay, partly cloudy over the Central Bay and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region and Mon State, scattered in Yangon Region and Kayin State, isolated in Bago Region and Kachin State with regionally heavy falls in Mon State, isolated heavy falls in Yangon and Taninthayi Regions. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (5°C) to (6°C) above May normal temperatures in Sagaing Region, Shan, Chin and Kayah States, (4°C) above May normal temperatures in Mandalay and Magway Regions, (2°C) above May normal temperatures in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Rakhine and Mon States and about May normal temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (46°C) each in Nyaung Oo and Chauk, (45°C) each in Myinmu, Myingyan, Gangaw and Pauk, (44°C) each in Monywa, Kyemone and Taungdwingyi. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Chaungsone (6.06)inches, Kyeikkhame (4.13)inches, Kawthaung (3.54)inches, Yangon(Northern Dagon) (3.35)inches, Paung (2.05)inches, Mawlamyine (2.01)inches, Thaton (1.29)inches, Hmawbi (1.14)inches and Yangon(Kaba-Aye) (1.10)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and a few cloud to partly cloudy in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10th May, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region and Mon State, fairly widespread in Kayin State, scattered in Yangon Region and Kachin state, isolated in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kayah State with isolated heavy falls in Taninthayi Region and Mon State. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-7) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon –Taninthayi Coasts and about (4-6) feet off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States.
