27-11-2025:According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “SENYAR” over Northeast of Indonesia and adjoining the Strait of Malacca has moved East-Southeast and downgraded into a Deep Depression. It is centered at about 380 Nautical miles South of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 120 Nautical miles South-Southwest of Penang(Malaysia), 150 Nautical miles Southeast of Kuta Makmur(Indonesia) and  495 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar (India). It is likely continue to move Eastwards and weaken into a depression during next 12 hours. According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka Coast has moved North-Northwest and intensified into a Deep Depression.  It is centered at about 800 Nautical miles South-Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 150 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Tricomalee(Srilanka), 370 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry(India). It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and further intensify into a Cyclonic Storm during next 12 hours. Thereafter, it is likely continue to move North-Northwestwards and towards North Tamil Nadu and adjoining South Andhra Pradesh coasts. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Southern Shan State, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Kayin State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Mon State and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Yangon Regions, Chin and Rakhine States. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (7°C) to (8°C) above May normal temperatures in Sagaing, Magway and Bago Regions, Kachin, (Northern and Eastern) Shan States, (5°C) to (6°C) above May normal temperatures in Mandalay and Ayeyarwady Regions, Southern Shan, Chin, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States, (3°C) to (4°C) above May normal temperatures in Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine State. The significant day temperatures were (45°C) in Chauk and (44°C) each in Monywa, Kyemone, Myinmu, Nyaung Oo, Gangaw, Pauk and Bawlakhae. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Ngathaichaung (1.65)inches, Gwa (1.61)inches, Paing Kyone (1.18)inches, Pinlaung (1.06)inches, Phyu (1.02)inches, Nyauntone (1.00)inch, Loilin and Madauk (0.79)inch each, Mindat and Thaton (0.67)inch each and Labutta (0.63)inch.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North and Westcentral Bay and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22nd May, 2019:  Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Bago and Taninthayi Regions, Southern Shan, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Mandalay, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Eastern Shan and Chin States, isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of advancement of Southwest Monsoon into the Southern Myanmar areas.
