Condition of Depression
According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the depression over the Central Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards and reached West Central Bay of Bengal. It is centered at about (336)miles East-Southeast of Machillipatnam, (272)miles South- Southeast of Gopalpur (India) and forecast to move North-Northwestwards.
It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the depression is coded yellow stage.
Position of depression, Center pressure and wind
Depression is located at Latitude (15.0)degree North and Longitude (86.8)degree East, Centre pressure of depression is (1002)hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (35) miles per hour at (13:30) hrs MST today.
Next (24)hours Forecast
(a) It is forecast to move North-Northwestwards and may reach North Andhra Pradesh and South Odisha Coasts (India).
(b) Under the influence of depression, rain or thundershowers are likely to be fairly widespread in Sagaing Region, Shan and Chin States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine and Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States.
(c) Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely attimes Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squlls may reach (35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts, (4-7) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Tanintharyi Coasts.
