Condition of El Nino during December 2023 to February 2024

- The Sea Surface Temperature (SST) over the Tropical Pacific Ocean near the Equator and atmosphere phenomena is strong condition. According to the Numerical Weather prediction models of the International Meteorological Agency, it is forecast to reach strong El Nino condition during December 2023 to January 2024. It is forecast that the El Nino condition may gradually decrease starting from February 2024.
- Although the El Nino condition occurs in the Pacific Ocean, the effect of El Nino may cause generally extreme weather events such as irregular rainfall patterns, rising temperature, irregular storm formation and drought.
- Therefore, it is advised to prepare in advance for all related sectors. El Nino Condition will be updated in time.
