SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Mandalay, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 2°C below February average temperature in Yangon Region and about February average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 2.4°C in Namsan(Southern Shan), 3.5°C in Hakha, 4.2°C in Heho, 4.3°C in Tiddim, 4.9°C in Pyinoolwin, 5.0°C each in Loilin and Mongyang, 6.9°C in Pinlaung, 7.6°C in Myitkyina, 8.2°C in Taunggyi and 8.8°C in Mingin.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay, a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and Eastcentral Bay and generally fair elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 3rd February 2025: Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Taninthyi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States.
