SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Rakhine State. Rain or thundershower have been isolated in Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions, scattered in Kayah, Chin, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Sagaing Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States and isolated heavyfalls in Kayin, Mon States. Day temperatures were 3°C above April average temperatures in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Chin, Eastern Shan States, 2°C above April average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Northern and Southern)Shan State and 2°C below April average temperature in Chin State and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 45.3°C in Chauk, 43.0°C in Sinbyugyun, 42.9°C in Myinmu, 42.8°C in Myingyan, 42.7°C in Tada U(Aviation-Met), 42.6°C in Minbu, 42.5°C each in Yamethin and Taungdwingyi, 42.0°C in Zaung Tu and 41.8°C each in Nyaung Oo, Kyaukse(Lunkyaw), Magway and Gangaw on 28-4-2025. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 4.09 inches in Theinzayet, 3.39 inches in Myawaddy, 2.68 inches in Kyeikkhame, 2.64 inches in Shwekyin, 2.35 inches in Tachileik, 1.85 inches in Paung, 1.81 inches in Chaungsone, 1.77 inches in Hmawbi(Agro-Met), 1.61 inches in Yangon(Mingaladon) and 1.57 inches in Kyeikmayaw.
BAYINFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 30th April 2025: Rain or thundershower will be widespread in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Shan States, fairly widespread Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State and scattered in Chin, Rakhine States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon States. THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Mon State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
