SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather have been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Eastern Shan State, scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Kayah, Chin, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago, Magway Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and isolated heavyfalls in Mon, Rakhine States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 5.04 inches in Dawei, 4.52 inches in Sittwe, 3.94 inches in Myeik, 3.20 inches in Kyeikkhame, 2.87 inches in Myitkyina, 2.83 inches in Ye, 2.76 inches in Coco Island, 2.64 inches in Monyin, 2.13 inches each in Payng and Chaungsone and 2.10 inches in Dedaye.

BAYINFERENCE:  Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and moderate to strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Special Features: According to the observations at 12:30 hrs MST today, the Severe Troipical Storm“(WUTIP)” over Gulf of Tonkin has moved Northeastwards and it is start crossing to the Coastal areas of Guangdong Province, Southern part of China. It is likely continue to move Northeastwards and gradually weaken over interior of China.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 15th June 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Magway, Sagaing Regions and Kayah, (Northern and Eastern) Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 9-12 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated heavy rain or thundershowers in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States.
