SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kayah State, scattered in Mandalay Region, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 2.87 inches in Putao, 2.76 inches in Manaung, 2.00 inches in Nyaungdon, 1.93 inches in Thaton, 1.89 inches in Hkamti, 1.77 inches in Lashio, 1.73 inches in Kyaukpyu, 1.69 inches in Ye, 1.61 inches in Machanbaw, 1.57 inches in Katha and 1.50 inches in Nyaunglaybin.

BAYINFERENCE:  Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 26th June 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Mandalay Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Mon, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Northern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 11-13 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States.
