SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay Region, scattered in Magway Region and Kachin, Kayah, (Northern and Southern) Shan States, and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mon, Rakhine States and isolated heavyfalls in Bago Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 5.74 inches in Sittwe, 4.65 inches in Kyeikmayaw, 3.54 inches in Kyaukpyu, 3.35 inches in Chaungsone, 3.27 inches in Shwekyin, 3.15 inches in Mawlamyine, 3.11 inches each in Naypyitaw(Zabuthiri) and Mudon, 2.83 inches each in Taunggu and Madauk, 2.79 inches in Kawkareik and 2.76 inches in Pyinmana(Walgyi).

BAYINFERENCE:  According to the observations at 12:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining West Bengal, India and Bangladesh coasts still persists. It is likely to move slowly West-Northwestwards across North Odisha and West Bengal, India. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 30th June 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Chin, (Northern and Southern) Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 11-13 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago Region and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, Eastern Shan States.
