13-9-2025: According to the observations at 12:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Westcentral and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal (Off North Andhra Pradesh - South Odisha coasts, India) still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and across South Odisha and adjoining North Andhra Pradesh and South Chhattisgarh during next 2 days. Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kachin, Kayah States. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing Region and Rakhine State, scattered in Magway, Upper Sagaing Regions and (Northern and Eastern)Shan State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago Regions and Kayin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 2.13 inches in Kyeikkhame, 2.00 inches in Paing Kyone, 1.81 inches in Mudon, 1.53 inches in Pyinoolwin(Zeepingyi), 1.50 inches in Myeik, 1.42 inches in Mawlamyinekyun, 1.18 inches each in Coco Island and Kyangin(Seiktha), 1.06 inches in Dawei and 0.98 inch in Thayat.

BAYINFERENCE:  Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 5th September 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Rakhine, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago Region and Kayin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate monsoon.
