SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Northern Shan State, scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Kayah, Chin States, fairly widespread in Rakhine, Eastern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 7.10 inches in Dedaye, 5.71 inches in Mawlamyine, 4.57 inches in Pyinmana(Walgyi), 4.44 inches in Kyeikmayaw, 4.02 inches in Chaungsone, 3.46 inches in Thaton, 3.39 inches in Mudon, 3.35 inches in Ye, 3.31 inches in Kungyangon and 3.15 inches in Kamamaung.
BAYINFERENCE: According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the depression over the Northwest Bay of Bengal (close to South Odisha Coast, India) has moved Westwards and crossed near Gopalpur, South Odisha costal, India, as a Land Depression still persists. It is likely continue to move westwards cross South Odisha and Chhattisgarh and gradually weaken. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
Special Features: According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Severe Tropical Storm “BUALOI” over the West Philippines sea has moved west-northwestwards and reached over the South China Sea. It is likely continue to move west-northwestwards and may intensify into a Typhoon and cross over the northern coastal areas of Vietnam as a Severe Tropical Storm “BUALOI” during next 48 hours and as a Tropical Depression over Laos during next 72 hours.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 28th September 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Chin, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing Mandalay, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 30 mph. Wave height will be about 10-12 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Naypyitaw, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States.
