SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Magway Region and Rakhine State. Rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Naypyitaw, Kachin, (Northern and Southern)Shan States, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Mon State, scattered in Yangon, Bago, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 2°C above November average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Upper Sagaing Regions and Chin State, 3°C to 4°C above November average temperatures in Lower Sagaing Region and Kayah, Shan States, 5°C above November average temperature in Kachin State and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 12.0°C in Hakha, 15.6°C in Loilin, 16.0°C each in Homalin and Pinlaung, 16.1°C in Taunggyi, 16.5°C in Pyinoolwin, 17.0°C in Heho and 18.0°C each in Namsan(Southern Shan) and Mongyang. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 1.10 inches in Mawlamyine, 1.02 inches each in Ye and Mudon, 0.79 inch in Pinlaung, 0.67 inch in Lashio, 0.63 inch in Hlegu and 0.59 inch each in Hkamti, Putao, Dedaye and Ywangan.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEATURES: : According to the observations at 12:30 hrs MST today, the Typhoon “KALMAEGI” over the South China Sea has moved Westwards and it is centered at about 240 Nautical miles Southeast of Da Nang(Vietnam). It is forecast likely continue to move West and may cross south of Da Nang, the Vietnam coast at tonight. Thereafter, it is likely to move West-Northwestwards and continue to cross boundary area of Vietnam and Laos as a severe tropical storm during next 24 hours.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 7th November 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Mandalaly, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Rakhine State, scattered in Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Eastern Shan States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Yangon Region and Kayah, (Northern and Southern)Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Fairly widespread to widespread rain or thundershowers in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Shan States.
