SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kachin State, rain or thundershowers has been isolated in Sagaing Region, scattered in Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Yangon Region. Night temperature were (2°C) above December average temperatures in Upper Sagaing and Ayeyarwady Regions, Northern Shan State, (3°C) to (4°C) above December average temperatures in Magway and Bago Regions and Rakhine State, (5°C) to (6°C) above December averages in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and about December average temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (4°C) in Hakha, (7°C) each in Putao and Ramthlo, (8°C) in Tiddim. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Coco Island (4.53)inches, Hainggyigyun (1.34)inches, Kyaukmae (0.94)inch, Kyaukse and Sinbyugyun (0.59)inch each, Magway (0.55)inch, Naypyitaw (Zayarthiri), Minbu and Okkan (0.51)inch each, Kunlong and Lunkyaw (0.47)inch each.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the South Bay of Bengal and adjoining Equatorial India Ocean now lies over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining Equatorial India Ocean still persists. It may further intensify into a depression during next (24) hours.Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 13th December, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Sagaing Region and Kachin State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Northern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6-9)feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (3 -5)feet in off and along Rakhine Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of scattered rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Shan and Rakhine States.
