SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers has been fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Northern Shan State. Weather has been partly cloudy in Kachin and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below February average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Yangon Regions and Kachin State, (2°C) above February average temperatures in Kayin and Mon States and about February average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (0°C) in Hakha, (3°C) in Heho, (4°C) each in Thipaw and Pinlaung, (5°C) each in Namsam and Loilin, (6°C) each in Putao, Moemate, Tiddim, Pyinoolwin and Mogoke. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Launglon (1.77)inches and Dawei (0.87)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and generally fair elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 3rd February, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing Region, Kayin and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-5) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
