SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region, scattered in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Sagaing Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Kachin and Kayin States and isolated heavyfall in Rakhine State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Kyaukpyu (5.28)inches, Shan-Ywar-Thit (4.99)inches, Mogaung (4.65)inches, Monyin (4.53)inches, Kamamaung (4.21)inches, Hlaingbwe (3.50)inches, Hpa-an(Agro) (3.07)inches, Kataingti (3.04)inches, Thandaunggyi (2.56)inches, Myitkyina (2.33)inches, Paing Kyone (2.25)inches, Ann and Mudon (2.16)inches each and Theinzayet (2.13)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th July, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady Region, Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (7– 9)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
