24-11-2025: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Strait of Malacca still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and intensify into a depression over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Andaman Sea. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

A strong earthquake of magnitude (6.9) Richter Scale with its epicenter outside Myanmar (Celebes Sea, Philippines) about (1985) miles Southeast of Kaba-Aye seismological observatory was recorded at (12) hr (43) min (48) sec M.S.T on 10th January, 2017.
