27-10-2025:According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over Southeast Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northwestwards and intensified into the Cyclonic Storm “MONTHA” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal. It is centered at about 485 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 310 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Chennai(India), 350 Nautical miles Southeast of Kakinada (India). It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may intensify Severe Cyclonic Storm may form on 28-10-2025 and may cross Andhra Pradesh Coast on that night. Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and North Bay, Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (14:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Extremely Severe Cyclonic Storm “MOCHA” over Northeast Bay and adjoining East Central Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northeastwards. It is crossing interior near Sittwe, Myanmar.Weather is partly cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 15th May, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Kayin State and widespread in the Remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Chin, RakhineStates and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw and Shan State.Degree of certainty is (100%).

The Condition of Cumulonimbus Cloud: Due to the Extremely Severe Cyclonic Storm “MOCHA” over Northeast Bay and adjoining EastcentralBay of Bengal, the Cumulonimbus cloudsare developing over the Remaining Regions and States except from Southern Myanmar areas. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA:Frequently squall with rough to very rough seas will be experienced in off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (110-120) mph. Frequently squall with rough to very rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (50-70) mph. Occasional squall with rough seas will be experienced in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (40-45) mph. Wave height will be about (16-20) feet in off and along Rakhine Coasts, (10-14) feet in Deltaic and (9-13) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
