1-12-2025: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal, North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts and South Andhra Pradesh coasts almost stationary and it is centered at about 750 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 75 Nautical miles Northeast of Puducherry (India) and 20 Nautical miles Southeast of Chennai(India). It is likely to move nearly Northwards parallel to North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts and South Andhra Pradesh coasts(India) and gradually weaken into a Depression during next 12 hrs. Weather is generally fair over the Andaman Sea, cloudy over the Westcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

 Severe Cyclonic Storm “YAAS”

According to the observations at (16:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Very Severe Cyclonic Storm

“YAAS”over the Northwest Bay of Bengal has crossed near South of Balasore, North India Coast and moved to North-Northwestwards and weaken into a Severe Cyclonic Storm. It is forecast to move Northwestwards and weaken gradually into a Cyclonic Storm during next (6)hrs and into a land depression during next(12)hrs.
