          According to the observations at (11:00) hrs M.S.T today, the Severe Cyclonic Storm (NIVAR) over the Southwest Bay of Bengal is centered at about (155) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Cuddalore, about (160) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Puducherry and about (190) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chenn‌ai (India).

It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the Severe Cyclonic Storm (NIVAR) is coded yellow stage.

          The Severe Cyclonic Storm (NIVAR) is likely to intensify into a Very Severe Cyclonic Storm during next (12)hrs and move West-Northwestwards. It is forecast to cross near Tamil Nadu and Puducherry coasts tonight.
