Super Cyclonic Storm (AMPHAN)

 According to the observations at (21:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Super Cyclonic Storm (AMPHAN) over the West Central Bay of Bengal has moved to Northwards. It is centered at about (350)Nautical miles South of Paradip(Odisha-India), about (430) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Digha(india), about (500) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Khepupara (Bangladesh), about (400)Nautical miles West of Coco-Island and about (500) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Pathein (Myanmar).

            It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the Super Cyclonic Storm (AMPHAN) is coded yellow stage.

            Super Cyclonic Storm (AMPHAN) is located at Latitude (14.5) degree North and Longitude (86.4) degree East, centre pressure of depression is (920)hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (140)miles per hour at (21:30) hrs MST today.

During next (60)hrs Forecast

            Super Cyclonic Storm (AMPHAN) is forecast to re-curve North-Northeastwards and may cross between West Bengal(Indian)and Bangladesh coasts.

Rainfall Forecast

            Due to the Super Cyclonic Storm (AMPHAN), rain or thundershowers will be scattered to fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon,  Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States during  (18.5.2020) to (21.5.2020).

Sea Condition Forecast

            Occasional squalls with rough to very rough seas will be experienced off and along Deltaic, Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40-45)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9-14) feet off and along Deltaic, Rakhine Coasts. Squalls with moderate to rough seas will be attime off and along Gulf of Mottama, Mon-TaninthayiCoasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet off and along Gulf of Mottama, Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

            Due to the Super Cyclonic Storm(AMPHAN), people from trawlers, vessels, ships off and along Myanmar Coasts should be aware squall and rough seas condition and also should be aware flight  for severeweather condition.
