It is likely to move west–northwestwards towards Sri Lanka and further intensify over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Equatorial Indian Ocean during next 24 hours. Weather is generally fair over the North Bay of Bengal, a few cloud over the Central Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

A Low Pressure Area may form over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal. Weather will be partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Rain condition and Rainy Day

Rain or thundershowers will be below normal in NayPyiTaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and about normal in Upper Sagaing, Tanintharyi Regions and Kachin, Chin States.

Rainy days are expected about (3) to (5) days in Upper Sagaing, Tanintharyi Regions and Kachin, (Northern & Southern) Shan, Chin, Mon States and (1) to (2) days in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Eastern Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin States.
