28-10-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Severe Cyclonic Storm “MONTHA” over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards still persists. It is centered at about 630 Nautical miles West of Coco Island (Myanmar), 210 Nautical miles Northeast of Chennai(India) and 70 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Kakinada (India).Weather is a few cloud over the Northeast Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Weather Forecast for 2019 Mid Monsoon Season

 

Mid Monsoon Period

          The mid monsoon period is establishment of first July to the end of August.

 

Bay of Bengal Condition

Four Low Pressure Areas may form over the Bay of Bengal and two may further  intensify into  the Depressions. During the mid monsoon period, monsoon will be moderate to strong. One time of Break Monsoon may occur during mid monsoon season.

 

Rain Condition

Rain or Thundershower will be expected above normal rain in  Bago Region, Rakhine and Mon States  and about  normal rain in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and  Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Kayah and Kayin States.
