23-2-2026:According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Central Bay of Bengal now lies over South Bay of Bengal. It is likely continue to move Northeastwards during next 24 hours and weaken gradually. Weather is a few cloud over the South Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Bay of Bengal condition

Three Low Pressure Areas may form over the  Bay of Bengal and two may further intensify into depressions.  Southwest monsoon is likely to withdrawal from Northern Myanmar areas during (13-18) of September, Central Myanmar areas during (19-24) of September, Deltaic areas during during (25-30) of September. Monsoon will be moderate. Weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy over the North and Central Bay of Bengal.

Rainfall and Rainy Days

Rain or thundershowers will be expected above normal in Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhines State and about normal in Nay Pyi Taw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Kayah,  Kayin and Mon States.

Rainy days will be expected (18) to (25) days in  Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and (10) to (17) days in Nay Pyi Taw,  Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kachin, Shan and Kayah States.
