3-11-2025:According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Eastcentral Bay and adjoining near Deltic coast, Myanmar still persists. It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and may reach over the Eastcentral Bay and adjoining Northeast Bay of Bengal and off and along Rakhine coasts and adjoining Deltic coasts during next 36 hours.  Weather is cloudy over the North Andaman Sea, Northeast Bay and Eastcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy South Andaman Sea  and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Late Monsoon Period Forecast

Late monsoon period is a period of starting from 1st September, 2025 to the date of monsoon withdrawal from the whole country.

Withdrawal of SW Monsoon

Southwest monsoon is likely to withdrawal in:

  •  Northern Myanmar Areas during (14-19) September
  •  Central Myanmar Areas during  (20-25) September
  •  Deltaic Areas during (26 September to 1 October )
  •  Southern Myanmar Areas during (2-7) October

Bay of Bengal Condition

Three Low Pressure Areas may form over the Bay of Bengal and one may further intensify into a depression. Monsoon will be weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Rain condition

Rain or thundershower will be expected above normal in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States, below normal in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and about normal in Bago, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Northern Shan States.
