SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain has been scattered in Taninthayi Region and Eastern Shan State, isolated in Southern Shan State, weather has been partly cloudy in Ayeyarwady Region, Rakhine and Kayah States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) above January average temperatures in Mandalay and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kayah State, (3°C) to (4°C) above January average temperatures in Bago Region, Eastern Shan, Kayin and Mon States, (5°C) above January average temperature in Southern Shan State and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (1°C) in Hakha, (4°C) in Putao, (5°C) each in Thipaw, Heho and Ramthlo, (6°C) each in Machanbaw, Monyin, Tiddim and Mogoke. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Kawthaung (0.55)inch and Mongyang (0.28)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North and Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 20th January, 2019: Rain will be isolated in Taninthayi Region and (Eastern and Southern)Shan State. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Northern Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-5) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
