29-11-2025:According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” has crossed near Trincomalee(Srilanka) and moved North- Northwestwards. It is centered at about 795 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 175 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry (India) and 45 Nautical miles West-Northwestwards of Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is likely continue to move North-Northwestwards across Northeastern parts of Sri Lanka Coast and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal and reach over the North Tamil Nadu and near South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India.   Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy  over the Southwest Bay and Westcentral Bay and A few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Deep Depression

            According to the observations at (21:30)hrs M.S.T today, the  Deep Depression over Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal almost stationary and it intensify into a Cyclonic Storm(AMPHAN). It is centered at about (555) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Paradadip(Odisha-India), about (638) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Digha(india),  about (695) Nautical miles Southwest of Khepupara (Bangladesh), about (458) Nautical miles Southwest of Coco-Island and about (603) Nautical miles Southwest of Pathein (Myanmar).

It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the Cyclonic Storm(AMPHAN) is coded yellow stage.

 Position of deep depression, center pressure and wind

            Deep Depression is located at Latitude (11.0) degree North and Longitude (86.2) degree East, centre pressure of depression is (997) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (45)miles per hour at (21:30) hrs MST today.

During next (36)hrs Forecast

            The Cyclonic Storm(AMPHAN) likely to intensify into a Severe Cyclonic Strom at (17.5.2020) and Very Severe Cyclonic Storm at (18.5.2020). It is very likely to move North-Northwestwards initially and then recureve North-Northwestwards.

General caution

Due to the Cyclonic Storm(AMPHAN), rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Bago, Yangon,  Ayeyarwady and Thanintharyi Regions, Kayin and Mon States, isolated in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Magway Regions, Kachin, Rakhine and Kayah States within next (48)hours commencing tonight.

            Occasional squalls with rough to very rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8-12) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

            Due to the Cyclonic Storm(AMPHAN), people should be awared domastic flight, trawlers, vessels and ships off and along Myanmar Coasts.
