SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in  Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, isolated in Mandalay and Bago Regions, Eastern Shan, Kayin and Mon States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Kyeikdon (1.52)inches, Kawthaung (1.02)inches, Bago (0.91)inch, Kya-In-Seikkyi (0.58)inch and Kyeikkhame (0.55)inch.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 18th October, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Bago, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States, isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region, Kachin, (Southern and Eastern) Shan and Kayah States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of continuations of rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States.
