14-10-2024:According to the observations at (15:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and further intensify into well marked low pressure area around 15-10-2024 and continue to move West-Northwestwards and may reach to North Tamil Nadu and adjoining South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India around 17-10-2024. Weather is a few cloud over the Northeast Bay and party cloudy over the Eastcentral Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
EARTHQUAKE NEWS
A slight earthquake of magnitude (4.4) Richter Scale with its epicenter inside Myanmar (about (25) miles east-southeast of Paletwa), latitude 21.23°N, longitude 93.23°E, depth (64) kilometers, about (79) miles north-northeast of Sittwe seismological observatory was recorded at (04) hr (17) min (28) sec M.S.T on 5th July, 2023.
