SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Taninthayi Region and Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing Region. Weather has been partly cloudy in Kayin, Chin, Mon, Eastern Shan States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 2°C above March average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway Regions and Kayin, Mon, Eastern Shan States and 5°C below March average temperature in Kachin State and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 41.8°C in Chauk, 40.4°C each in Aunglan and Myawaddy, 40.2°C in Magway, 39.8°C in Hpa-an, 39.7°C each in Nyaung Oo, Myinmu and Hpa-an(Agro-Met), 39.5°C in Taungdwingyi, 39.4°C each in Nyaunglaybin and Pyay and 39.3°C in Zaung Tu on 13-3-2025. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.59 inch in Putao, 0.43 inch in Machanbaw, 0.16 inch in Myeik and 0.04 inch each in Homalin and Kawthaung.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay, a few cloud over the Central Bay and generally fair over the North Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 15th March 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region and Kayin, Chin, Mon, Northern Shan States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
