SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and isolated in Mandalay, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Mon States and weather have been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 3°C above May average temperature in Kachin State and 2°C below May average temperatures in Magway Region and Rakhine State and about May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 40.5°C in Chauk, 40.4°C in Myinmu, 40.0°C each in Nyaunglaybin and Pyay, 39.1°C in Magway, 39.0°C each in Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri), Myingyan and Shwebo, 38.5°C in Tada U(Avia-Met) and 38.4°C in Myawaddy on 5-5-2025. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.75 inch in Hkamti, 0.16 inch in Homalin, 0.12 inch each in Myeik and Kawthaung and 0.08 inch each in Thaton and Paung.
BAYINFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 7th May 2025: Weather will be partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Bago, Magway Regions and Kayah, Rakhine States. Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kayin, Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 80%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Taninthayi Region. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States.
