SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Chin and Rakhine States, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Kayah, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Eastern Shan State and widespread in in the remaining Regions and States and isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Bago Regions and Mon State. Day temperatures were 3°C to 4°C above May average temperatures in Bago, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Eastern Shan States and 2°C above May average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Magway, Lower Sagaing,  Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Southern Shan States and about May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 42.5°C in Myingyan, 42.2°C in Chauk, 41.7°C each in Zaung Tu and Magway, 41.6°C in Aunglan, 41.5°C in Myinmu, 41.2°C in Gangaw, 41.0°C each in Pakokku and Shwebo and 40.6°C  in Monywa on 11-5-2025. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.43 inches in Theinzayet, 3.35 inches in Tharrawady, 3.31 inches in Nyaung Oo, 2.87 inches in Belin, 2.83 inches in Myawaddy, 2.76 inches in Khayan, 2.36 inches in Okkan, 2.17 inches in Madauk, 1.97 inches in Paung and 1.69 inches in Shwekyin.

BAYINFERENCE: Weather is a partly cloudy over the North Bay and Westcentral Bay and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 13th May 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Sagaing Region and Kayah, Rakhine, Northern Shan States and widespresd in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 mph. Wave height will be about 7 - 9 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of thundery activities in the Deltaic areas.
