BAYINFERENCE: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Northwest Bay of Bengal (Off Odisha coast) still persists. It is likely to move slowly Northwards and may further intensify. Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 28th May 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Kachin, Kayah and (Northern and Eastern)Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Chin, Rakhine States and isolated heavyfalls in Yangong, Mandalay,  Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%. 

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing,Taninthayi, Regions and Chin,Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Frequently squalls with rough to vigorous seas will be experience off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35-40 mph. Wave height will be about 10 - 14 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated heavy rain or thundershowers in Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine States.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 28th May 2025:                             One or two rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is 100%.

FORECAST FOR YANGON AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 28th May 2025:                                    Some rain or thundershowers which may be heavy at times. Degree of certainty is 100%.
