SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region, scattered in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Rakhine, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Yangon, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated haevyfalls Kayin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.35 inches in Hpa-an, 2.95 inches in Okkan, 2.72 inches in Hpa-an(Agro-Met), 1.93 inches in Kyeikkhame, 1.89 inches in Bago, 1.85 inches in Myawaddy, 1.73 inches in Mudon, 1.57 inches in Belin, 1.50 inches in Kyeikmayaw and 1.46 inches in Theinzayet.

BAYINFERENCE:  Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 5th June 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal.
