BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and moderate to strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 15th June 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be Scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions, Kayah State and Fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kachin, (Northern and Eastern) Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing inYangon, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Mon, Rakhine and (Northern and Southern) Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 9-12 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet off and along Rakhine Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated heavy rain or thundershowers in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States.
