SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay, Lower Sagaing Regions, scattered in Magway Region and Kayah, Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago, Upper Sagaing Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Mon State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.03 inches in Belin, 2.87 inches in Hkamti, 2.80 inches in Myeik, 2.44 inches in Monyin, 2.36 inches in Myitkyina, 1.85 inches each in Homalin and Paung, 1.81 inches in Einme, 1.73 inches in Hpa-an, 1.69 inches in Thaton and 1.58 inches in Kawthaung.
BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 24th June 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago Region and Rakhine State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 11-13 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increases of rain in Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine States.
