SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kayah State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region, fairly widespread in Magway Region and Rakhine State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Kayin State and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 4.21 inches in Hkamti, 4.09 inches in Paung, 3.18 inches in Hpa-an(Agro-Met), 3.11 inches in Thaton, 3.07 inches each in Kawthaung and Hpa-an, 2.48 inches each in Homalin and Mawlamyine, 2.24 inches in Coco Island, 2.05 inches in Belin, 1.97 inches in Einme and 1.73 inches in Ye.

BAYINFERENCE:  Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th June 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Southern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 11-13 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Strong monsoon.
