BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and strong to vigorous elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 2nd July 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Mandalay Region, scattered in Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Kachin, Eastern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin, (Northern and Southern)Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 11-13 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 mph. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
