SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kayah State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Bago Region and Kachin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 12.24 inches in Shwekyin, 8.86 inches in Madauk, 4.17 inches in Myitkyina, 2.72 inches in Kyeikkhame, 2.56 inches in Mawlaik, 2.36 inches in Muse, 2.20 inches in Hmawbi(Agro-Met), 2.17 inches in Nyaunglaybin, 2.13 inches in Dawei and 1.93 inches in Yangon(Mingaladon).
BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
Special Weather: According to the observations at 13:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over West Bengal, India still persists. It is likely to move slowly West-Northwestwards and across Jharkhand and north Chhattisgarh, India during next 2 days.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10th July 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 25-30 mph. Wave height will be about 8-11 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon, Eastern Shan States.
