SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Kayin, Mon, Eastren Shan States and isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Bago, Sagaing Regions and Southern Shan State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 7.36 inches in Hpa-an, 7.24 inches in Belin, 7.16 inches in Hpa-an(Agro-Met), 6.65 inches in Paung, 6.00 inches in Mongping, 5.70 inches in Kyeikmayaw, 5.59 inches in Shwebo, 5.55 inches in Shwekyin, 5.35 inches in Pinlaung and 5.23 inches in Kawkareik.
BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 29th July 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Shan(Southern and Eastern) States. THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 9-13 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
