SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Magway Region and Kayah, Rakhine States. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Yangon Region and Chin State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Sagaing Regions, fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, (Northern and Southern)Shan States and widespread in Mon, Eastern Shan States with isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay Region and Mon State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 5.00 inches in Thaton, 2.48 inches in Pyinoolwin(Zeepingyi), 2.23 inches in Hkamti, 1.73 inches in Belin, 1.57 inches in Mudon, 1.37 inches in Myitkyina, 1.30 inches in Mogaung, 1.26 inches in Hpa-an, 1.18 inches in Hpa-an(Agro-Met) and 1.01 inches in Tharrawady.
BAYINFERENCE Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 6th August 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway Region and Kayah, Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Mon, Shan States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Bago Region and Kayah, Mon, Southern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Shan States.
