BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate to strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Special Features: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Typhoon “Kajiki” over south china Sea has moved west-northwestwards. It is likely to move westwards and cross Upper Vietnam during next 12 hours and Upper Laos during next 24 hours.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 25th August 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Mandalay, Lower Sagaing Regions, fairly widespread in Magway, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Chin, Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Northern Shan State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 mph. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Isolated heavyfalls rain in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States.
