BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon is Storm to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate to strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Special Features: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, yesterday the Typhoon “Kajiki” crossed the inland region of Vietnam has moved westwards and downhraded into Tropical Storm “Kajiki” over upper parts of Laos.It is likely continue to move westwards and downgrade into a Tropical Depression over inland regions of Laos during next 6 hrs and downgrade into a low pressure cell over Northern Thailand during next 12 hrs.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 26th August 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be  Scttered in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin State, fairly widespread in Magway Region and Chin, Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionaly heavy fall in Kayin, Mon States and likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and (Southern and Eastern) Shan States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Mandalay, Magway, Lowe Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon and Southern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally squall with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35 mph. Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 25-30 mph. Wave height will be about 10-12 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast and 8-10 feet in off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Isolated heavyfalls rain in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States.
