BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
Special Features: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Tropical Depression over the South China Sea has moved Westwards and now lies over Tonkin Bay. It is centered at about 180 Nautical miles Southeast of Vinh, 110 Nautical miles North-Northeast of Da Nang (Vietnam).
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 30th August 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Chin, Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Magway,Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
