SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kachin, Eastern Shan States. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Bago Region and Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 5.35 inches in Pyay, 5.31 inches in Hpa-an(Agro-Met), 5.24 inches in Hpa-an, 4.72 inches each in Madauk and Thaton, 3.94 inches in Shwekyin, 3.90 inches in Gyobingauk, 3.75 inches in Paing Kyone, 3.58 inches each in Belin and Theinzayet, 3.54 inches in Chaungsone and 3.31 inches each in Kawthaung and Ye.

BAYINFERENCE:  Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Special Features: According to the observations at 12:30 hrs MST today, the wind wave has crossed over the Magway Region and Rakhine State, which moved West-Northwestwards and crossing over the Rakhine, Chin States and adjoining Northeast Bay of Bengal. It may further intensify into a Low Pressure Area over the North Bay of Bengal during next 24 hours.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 2nd September 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Sagaing Region and Kachin, Kayah, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Magway, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Chin, Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas are will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 10-12 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of strong monsoon.
