SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Rakhine State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kayah State, scattered in Magway Region and Chin, Eastern Shan States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 2.17 inches in Paungbyin, 2.05 inches in Kyaunggon, 2.01 inches in Ye, 1.89 inches in Kyeikkhame, 1.50 inches in Laymyethna, 1.28 inches in Wundwin, 1.26 inches in Mogaung, 1.22 inches in Ingapu, 1.21 inches in Putao and 1.18 inches in Mong Kung.
BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak to moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th September 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Bago Regions and Chin, Rakhine, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin, Eastern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
