BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak to moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 19th September 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Sagaing Region and Chin, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway, Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Regions and isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Bago, Magway Regons, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing Naypyitaw, Bago, Magway, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Rakhine and Easthern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 30 mph. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet in off and along Rakhine Coast.OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Bago, Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
