 BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

 SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Typhoon “RAGASA” over South China Sea has moved West-Northwestwards. It is centered at about 70 Nautical miles Southeast of Macao (China).

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 24th September 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing Region and isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Upper Sagaing , Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

 THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing Mandalay, Bago, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Nothern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

 STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 10-12 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 30 mph. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of increase of rain in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States.
