SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Magway Region and Rakhine State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Kayah, Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Bago, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayin State and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 10.39 inches in Ye, 5.86 inches in Dawei, 5.35 inches in Shwekyin, 4.50 inches in Paing Kyone, 4.45 inches in Hlegu, 4.21 inches each in Madauk, Myinmu and Pathein, 4.17 inches in Bago, 4.02 inches in Kamamaung, 3.98 inches in Danubyu and 3.94 inches in Einme.
BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Typhoon “RAGASA” over South China Sea has moved Westwards. It is centered at about 50 Nautical miles South-Southwest of Macao (China).
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th September 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kayah State, , fairly widespread in Magway Region and Chin, Rakhine, Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing Yangon, Bago, Magway, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Mon, Rakhine, Southern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 10-12 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 30 mph. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of increase of rain in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Shan States.
