BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Typhoon “RAGASA” over South China Sea has moved West-Northwestwards and crossed Xiachuan Island, China. It is centered at about 30 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Yangjiang (China).
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th September 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kayah State, , fairly widespread in Magway Region and Chin, Rakhine, Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady, Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, (Southern and Easthern) Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 10-12 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 30 mph. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of increase of rain in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Shan States.
